  • Trail Blazers' Moses Brown: Gets start Sunday

Brown will start at center in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Kings. With Deandre Ayton (back) sidelined, Brown will get the start at center. He has averaged 1.5 points and 7.0 rebounds across 11.8 minutes in four starts this season.

  • Trail Blazers' Moses Brown: Recalled by Portland

The Trail Blazers recalled Brown on Saturday from the G League's Rip City Remix. The Remix didn't reach the G League playoffs, so Brown will add depth in the frontcourt for a Portland team that's also eliminated from reaching the postseason at the NBA level. At the very least, the Blazers can see if Brown can deliver decent numbers in the final weeks of the campaign. The big man has recorded 19 appearances (four starts) with the Trail Blazers in 2023-24, averaging 2.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 0.4 blocks across 8.8 minutes per game.

  • Trail Blazers' Moses Brown: Makes return Friday

Brown (wrist) tallied seven points (3-3 FG, 1-3 FT) and one rebound in nine minutes Friday in the Trail Blazers' 122-92 win over the Grizzlies. Brown had been sidelined since early January after requiring surgery to address a non-displaced fracture in his left wrist, but he was back in action Friday and ended up slotting into the rotation with Deandre Ayton (hand) sidelined. Brown ended up playing ahead of Ibou Badji as the primary backup to fill-in starting center Duop Reath, but if Ayton is back in action for Saturday's game in Memphis, Brown would likely drop back out of the Trail Blazers' rotation.

  • Trail Blazers' Moses Brown: Available Friday

Brown (wrist) is available for Friday's game against the Grizzlies. Brown will suit up for the first time since Jan. 1. He's averaging just 9.1 minutes per game across nine appearances (four starts) this season, so his role figures to be minor.

  • Trail Blazers' Moses Brown: Questionable for Friday

Brown (wrist) is questionable for Friday's game against the Grizzlies. Brown has been out since Jan. 1, recovering from left wrist surgery, but it appears he's on the cusp of getting back to the court. He'll likely have some minute restrictions once he is cleared, but if Deandre Ayton (hand) goes down for a prolonged stretch, Brown could potentially be looking at a ton of opportunity. He can remain on the waiver wire in most formats, but he's worth monitoring in deep leagues.

  • Trail Blazers' Moses Brown: Absence to continue Tuesday

Brown (wrist) will not play Tuesday against Miami. Brown's next opportunity to take the court comes Friday versus Memphis, although it's unclear how close the big man is to a return. Duop Reath and Jabari Walker will likely continue stepping up as the relevant contributors off the bench in the frontcourt.

  • Trail Blazers' Moses Brown: Remains sidelined

Brown (wrist) won't play in Friday's game versus the Nuggets. Brown hasn't played since Jan. 1 after undergoing surgery on his left wrist. While fantasy managers should look out for an official update from the Trail Blazers, there is no indication that Brown is close to returning to action.

  • Trail Blazers' Moses Brown: Out at least six weeks

The Trail Blazers announced Wednesday that Brown underwent successful surgery on his left shoulder and will be re-evaluated in six weeks. Brown has already missed Portland's last four games and is expected to remain out until at least the end of February. With Deandre Ayton (knee) also sidelined, Duop Reath and Ibou Badji should continue to receive extended minutes until Ayton is able to return to action.

  • Trail Blazers' Moses Brown: Will undergo surgery on wrist

The Trail Blazers announced Monday that Brown will undergo surgery this week to address a non-displaced fracture of the scaphoid bone in his left wrist. A timeline for his return will be established once surgery is performed. Though Portland isn't yet putting a timeline on Brown's return, fantasy players should expect him to miss several weeks. With top center Deandre Ayton (knee) also facing an uncertain timeline to return to game action, Duop Reath should continue to operate as the Trail Blazers' starter Tuesday against the Knicks. Two-way player Ibou Badji looks poised to remain in the rotation as Reath's top backup until Ayton is back in action.

  • Trail Blazers' Moses Brown: Still out against Brooklyn

  • Trail Blazers' Moses Brown: Downgraded to out

Brown (wrist) won't play in Wednesday's game against the Mavericks. Brown has started in four straight games for the Trail Blazers in place of Deandre Ayton (knee), but he'll be held out of Wednesday's contest. Expect Duop Reath to claim Brown's starting role while Ibou Badji is likely to see more work off the bench. Brown's next chance to play will come Friday at Dallas.

  • Trail Blazers' Moses Brown: Questionable against Dallas

Brown is questionable for Wednesday's game versus Dallas due to a left wrist sprain. Brown has been starting in Portland's last five outings with Deandre Ayton (knee) out. However, if Brown is unable to suit up Wednesday, Duop Reath (back) and Ibou Badji are candidates to receive increased minutes.

  • Trail Blazers' Moses Brown: Rebounds well, does little else

Brown accrued zero points (0-1 FG, 0-2 3Pt), 11 rebounds, one steal and one block across 14 minutes in Tuesday's 130-113 win over the Kings. After being outside of the Portland rotation in each of the previous five games, Brown was surprisingly handed the starting nod over the team's normal No. 2 center, Duop Reath, while Deandre Ayton (knee) was sidelined. Reath still ended up seeing the bulk of the minutes at center and poured in a career-high 25 points to go with nine rebounds in 32 minutes, but Brown wasn't a total zero for those that streamed him for rebounds and blocks. Even so, Brown will likely find himself back outside of the rotation Thursday against the Spurs if Ayton is cleared to play.

  • Trail Blazers' Moses Brown: Get starting nod

Brown is in the starting lineup due to Deandre Ayton (knee) being ruled out for Tuesday's game against Sacramento, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports. Brown gets his first start in what will be his sixth appearance of the campaign. Duop Reath had started three prior contests when Ayton was unavailable, but the duo will likely form a platoon Tuesday.

  • Trail Blazers' Moses Brown: Rejoins parent club

The Trail Blazers recalled Brown from the G League's Rip City Remix on Friday. Brown was sent to the Remix on Thursday, and he tallied 21 points, 11 rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block in 25 minutes during Rip City's win over Stockton. However, he shouldn't be part of the Trail Blazers' rotation now that he's back with the parent club.

  • Trail Blazers' Moses Brown: Back to NBA

Portland recalled Brown from the G League's Rip City Remix on Tuesday. Brown, Kris Murray and Rayan Rupert were all elevated from the G League following Rip City's 107-103 win over Ontario on Monday. They'll all be available as depth options for Portland's matchup in Phoenix on Tuesday, but it's unlikely they'll see significant playing time, barring a blowout.

  • Trail Blazers' Moses Brown: Heads to bench

Brown is not in the starting lineup for Monday's preseason contest versus Phoenix, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports. Brown will be replaced by Duop Reath as Portland continues evaluating its third-string options at center. In his lone preseason start, Brown supplied one point, one rebound and two blocks in 12 minutes versus Utah on Saturday.

  • Trail Blazers' Moses Brown: Starting against Utah

Brown is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Jazz, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports. Brown gets the nod with Deandre Ayton (rest) out. Brown is competing for minutes at the backup center position, and this will be a huge chance to show what he can do with an extended role.

  • Trail Blazers' Moses Brown: Joining Portland

Brown agreed Monday with the Trail Blazers on a partially guaranteed one-year contract, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Brown made his NBA debut with the Trail Blazers during the 2019-20 season but has played for five teams over the past three seasons. He's struggled to garner much of a role over the past two seasons, averaging 4.3 points and 3.6 rebounds in 8.4 minutes per game over 76 appearances between the Cavaliers, Mavericks, Nets and Clippers. Brown will attempt to compete for a depth role with Portland ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.

  • Nets' Moses Brown: Back in Brooklyn

Brown re-signed Tuesday with the Nets on a second 10-day contract. Over the course of his first 10-day deal, Brown made just one four-minute appearance off the bench, recording one steal, one turnover and no other statistics while getting garbage-time run in a 119-106 loss to the Magic on Sunday. Though he'll stick around in Brooklyn a little while longer, Brown looks like he'll be outside of the rotation with Day'Ron Sharpe having settled in as the top backup to starting center Nic Claxton.
