The Knicks announced Wednesday that they have signed Washington (thumb) to a two-way contract. Washington was waived by the Knicks in November after suffering a right thumb injury that was expected to keep him out 6-8 weeks. However, with his thumb presumably being healed, Washington will rejoin New York on a two-way deal. The 23-year-old guard averaged 27.3 points, 6.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds for the Westchester Knicks of the G League before being let go.... See More ... See Less

Duane Washington: Cut by New York
Washington (thumb) was waived by the Knicks on Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Knicks' Duane Washington: Facing long-term absence
The Knicks announced Sunday that Washington is dealing with a right thumb injury and will be re-evaluated in 6-to-8 weeks, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports. Washington has played exclusively for the G League's Westchester Knicks this season while occupying one of New York's three two-way spots. He had missed game action of late for Westchester due to what was believed to be an illness, but the young guard is evidently dealing with a more serious injury that will likely keep him out until around at least mid-January.... Knicks' Duane Washington: Back with Knicks on two-way pact
Washington agreed to a two-way contract with the Knicks on Sunday, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports. Washington has shown some flashes as a scorer across parts of two seasons with Indiana and Phoenix, but his contributions in other areas have been limited. The 23-year-old joins Charlie Brown and Jacob Toppin as New York's three two-way players for the upcoming season. Washington is likely to see the majority of his playing time with the G League's Westchester Knicks in 2023-24.... See More ... See Less -
Duane Washington: Waived by New York
The Knicks waived Washington on Saturday. Washington put pen to paper on an Exhibit 10 deal prior to training camp, but he was unable to secure a roster spot. Knicks' Duane Washington: Signs training camp contract
Washington signed a training camp contract with the Knicks on Sunday, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports. The Knicks announced the signing Sunday, but they didn't immediately disclose the terms of the deal. After appearing in 31 games (three starts) with the Suns, Washington joined New York in February, but he never appeared in a game for the Knicks. The Ohio State product will now have an uphill battle during training camp, as New York has a crowded backcourt that features Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Immanuel Quickley, Donte DiVincenzo, Quentin Grimes and Miles McBride.... Knicks' Duane Washington: Back in Big Apple
Washington signed a contract with the Knicks on Sunday. While the terms of the deal were not disclosed, it appears the Knicks signed Washington to a standard contract, as Dylan Windler, Nathan Knight and Jaylen Martin occupy New York's three two-way deals. After appearing in 31 games (three starts) with the Suns, Washington joined the Knicks in February, but he never saw any game action with New York. He'll have a difficult time carving out a role in a crowded backcourt that includes Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Immanuel Quickley, Miles McBride, Donte DiVincenzo and Quentin Grimes.... See More ... Duane Washington: Let go by New York
The Knicks waived Washington on Monday. Washington appeared in 31 games (three starts) with the Suns and averaged 7.9 points in 12.7 minutes per contest last season before being let go in February. He quickly caught on with the Knicks on a two-way pact, but he never saw any game action for the NBA squad. With the Knicks electing not to bring Washington back on a two-way deal, he'll seek out an Exhibit 10 deal elsewhere ahead of training camp.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Duane Washington: Not listed on injury report
Washington (hip) isn't listed on the injury report for Saturday's Game 1 clash against Cleveland. Washington sat out the regular-season finale due to a hip injury, but it appears that absence was merely precautionary. While he'll be available, the undrafted product out of Ohio State is not expected to be part of the Knicks' postseason rotation.... See More ... See Less -

Knicks' Duane Washington: Misses game with illness
Washington didn't play in Tuesday's game versus the Stockton Kings due to an illness. Washington is one of the Knicks' two-way players, meaning he will split time between the NBA and G League. His illness should not keep him sidelined for an extended period.... See More ... See Less -

Washington (back) played 24 minutes Saturday for the G League's Westchester Knicks in their 114-108 loss to the Santa Cruz Warriors, finishing with eight points (3-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt), five assists, one rebound and one steal. Washington sat out the Westchester's most recent game Tuesday due to a lower-back contusion, but he was deemed good to go after receiving a few days of rest and recovery.
